Ms. Jackson is a Licensed Certified Professional Counselor with the state of MD. She is also a National Board Certified Counselor. Additionally she has an Associates Degree, a Bachelor’s Degree in Elementary Education, a Master’s Degree in School Counseling, and certificates in Early Childhood/After School Care and Psychotherapy.
Ms. Jackson joins Take Charge with her 20 years of experience working with children and families and has assisted families in crisis due to grief, divorce, ADHD, Oppositional Defiant Children, stress, illness, anger, Mood Disorders, Personality Disorders, parenting skills, marital concerns, and career issues. Her great love for children and adolescents, and assisting them with improving their social skills and being emotionally well is her passion.
An Eclectic Approach is used in her counseling practice, which includes Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Client Centered Therapy, Play Therapy, Art Therapy, Brief Solution Focused Therapy, Family Systems Therapy, Adlerian, Dialectical Therapy, and Christian Counseling. It is her goal to build a trusting relationship with clients that will lead to them realizing and fulfilling their potential in life and taking charge of themselves.
